Your Dog Has Dreams Too! Walk-a-thon (SEPT. 2011)

The D.O.G.S. Committee invited Sudbury residents with their dogs to participate in their 2nd annual walk-a-thon to raise funds for Sudbury's first official off-leash dog park and to support the CKC's national Responsible Dog Ownership Day. 

The Walk-a-thon began at the Minnow Lake Place, 1127 Bancroft Drive at 11:00 am with registration at 10:30 am and made its way around Minnow Lake and ended at Minnow Lake Place.  Please see the Poster and Press Release below.  The Registration & Pledge Form is available for download at the link below.

Save the Dog Park Campaign (Feb. 2011)

The D.O.G.S. Committee provided a list of general and technical arguments that you could give to the Mayor and your Councillor in an attempt to convince them to support the 2011 Budget funding request from the Minnow Lake Community Action Network – Dogs Off-Leash in Greater Sudbury Committee.  For more information and links to the arguments provided please click here.

RDOG Walk-a-thon (Oct. 2010)

11:00am - Dog owners and their leashed and licensed dogs are invited to participate in a walk-a-thon from the Minnow Lake Place, 1127 Bancroft Drive to the proposed Off-leash Dog Park site at the corner of Donna Drive and Second Avenue as part of our first year's participation in the National Responsible Dog Ownership (RDOG) Day.  Come out and help raise community awareness and pledges for the creation of the City's first Off-leash Dog Park!

NOTE: Responsible Dog Ownership (RDOG) Day is a national initiative started by the Canadian Kennel Club to education dog owners across the country about responsible pet ownership.
